Concert Band
The College Concert Band comprises of thirty students who play woodwind, brass, percussion and keyboard instruments. They perform many styles of music including jazz, film music and traditional marches. There is no audition necessary to be in this band, but students will be expected to practice their music and have weekly instrumental lessons. Music is generally of a level 3 standard and is tailored to the standards of the ensemble. Currently this ensemble rehearses every Wednesday morning commencing at 7.45am.
Stage Band
This ensemble is for more advanced and experienced instrumentalists and include saxophones, trumpets, trombones, guitar, bass guitar, drum kit and vocals. Entry into the Stage Band is through invitation or audition. Students in Stage Band must also be committed members of the Concert Band or Senior Choir and must attend all rehearsals for these ensembles also. The Stage Band plays repertoire from both Jazz and Contemporary Music genres.
