The Year 12 Pastoral Care program is designed to support the students throughout their final school year at the College and assist them in their transition to the next stage of their lives. To achieve these goals, activities are designed to include both small and large group sessions run by either the Year 12 Pastoral Care teachers or by guest speakers. In addition to this, the students participate in a range of meaningful activities including an overnight retreat, liturgies and masses, Big Sister/Little Sister mentoring program, class activities and year assemblies.

The Pastoral Care program focuses on:

  • Giving students strategies to deal with the pressures of the HSC year and providing information and education about procedures and process for University, TAFE and the workforce, Board of Studies, UAC and scholarship requirements.
  • Providing activities aimed at educating the students on topical issues such as responsible social behaviours (drinking, driving, celebrating).
  • Providing opportunities for, and raising an awareness of, social justice issues.
  • Nurturing, supporting and emphasising their role in the College leadership framework at the College.
  • Providing a supportive network of care and creating cohesive connections within the community.
