The Year 9 Pastoral Care program hopes to provide interesting pursuits, enriching experiences and support for the Year 9 students. This is the rationale for the popular overnight Year 9 camp in Term 1 where the students are encouraged to bond together as they embark on a series of outdoor challenges which they solve by working as a team. This team appraoch then filters through to all their experiences for the rest of the year. The Pastoral Care program focuses on: - Building resilience through role plays and leadership activities
- Building relationships through the use of film, guest speakers, group forums and fun activities
- Developing safe behaviours through theatre productions, guest speakers and class and year activities
- Community building through visits to local organisations and working with and for the wider community.
