The Youth Vinnies group which began in 2003 enables the whole College community to actively engage with both the local and wider community. Encouraged by the students desire to respect and accept all individuals, bringing comfort and hope to many people, this community outreach group seeks to live out the College motto of ‘Serviam’.

The group has a committee led by the Social Justice Captain. They meet on a regular basis during lunch to discuss the needs of the community. They pray, reflect, plan and eagerly share their thoughts on various Social Justice Issues and activities of service needed such as: Knitting for the Homeless; Fundraising for Night Patrol and the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, Winter and Christmas Appeals, Buddies Day, Winter Sleep-Out and Luncheons with the Parish Community. Night Patrol and Nursing Home Visitations are two experiences that inspire and animate our school community to make a difference.

‘Youth Vinnies’ is open to all students from all year groups 7-12. It is a great way for students within the College to meet new friends and share in Christ’s mission.
