String Orchestra
The String Orchestra is open to students who have been taking lessons for a minimum of two years outside or within the College on the violin, viola, cello or double bass. The ensemble performs famous Classical music repertoire as well as contemporary favourites. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday morning before school.
Beginner Strings
This is a beginner ensemble for students in their first years of tuition. In this group they develop the string performance and ensemble skills necessary to play as part of an orchestra. These students progress into the String Orchestra when they are ready. Rehearsals take place before school every Monday morning.
String Quartet
This ensemble is available for more advanced players. Professional repertoire is explored and students rehearse once a week during lunchtime.
