Theatresports is, as the name suggests, a combination of drama and competitive sports. Run by Impro Australia, Theatresports is a bit like ‘Whose Line is it Anyway?’ and ‘Thank God You’re Here’, where performers work without scripts. The short one to four minute games are all improvised, with absolutely no rehearsal! St Ursula’s College runs two Theatresports teams at Intermediate and Senior level. Both Teams compete in the Impro Australia Theatresports competitions during term two. Out of approximately 150 teams competing in NSW only eight teams go through to the Grand Final at the Enmore Theatre. In 2008 and 2009 St Ursula’s had teams which made it through to the Grand Final. | |
